At Arise, our commitment to empowering businesses and Service Partners through our innovative / digital platform has always been at the heart of what we do. Arise began with the goal of helping people with disabilities re-enter the workforce. The Arise® Platform launched to enable a network of small enterprises to provide inbound call center resources. Recognizing the difficulty people with disabilities faced in finding suitable employment, the platform offered flexible and remote features. Since then, technology has advanced, our platform has evolved, and volume and referrals have grown meaningfully. Nonetheless, our goal of providing economic opportunity to small businesses and entrepreneurs has stayed true.
Today, the Arise® Platform is made up of an amazing network of 90,000+ Service Partners globally, out of which 75,000 are in the U.S., who provide authentic customer service experiences for some of the nation’s leading companies. Our Service Partners include caretakers, military spouses, college students, retirees, limited mobility and disability populations, and many others. We are proud to be able to offer them flexible, independent contractor opportunities, as for many of them, traditional employment is either unavailable or incompatible with their lives.
The independent contractor model is not just a key element to our success, but it generates value for our stakeholders, including our Service Partners – who benefit from independence and flexibility and our partners – who are able to provide better care and support to their customers around the clock. Therefore, when we recently were faced with legal challenges regarding our business model and practices, we knew we had to vigorously defend it.
After cooperating with governing bodies in various Courts, we chose to settle several recent legal matters. It is important to remember that these settlements are not findings or admissions of wrongdoing on our part and should not be interpreted as agreements with or validations of any of the allegations. For us, these settlements afford clarity, certainty, and the ability to continue providing our platform to the many Service Partners and customers who depend on it.
During this time, we have also continued to defend and advocate for ourselves, remaining steadfast in protecting our brand’s reputation and correcting misinformation and unsubstantiated claims.
With these matters now behind us, we can focus on moving the business forward and doing what we do best – helping entrepreneurs find professional success and companies find world-class customer service solutions and other business services. Looking ahead, I am excited about the future of Arise. We have and will continue to be a technology and digital innovator. We remain fully committed to enhancing our platform with people-centric technologies including automation and AI, expanding our services, and supporting the growth and success of our customers and Service Partners.
Thank you for your trust, partnership, and support, today and always. On behalf of Arise, we look forward to riding the wave with you and achieving great things together in the months and years ahead.
