Arise Virtual Solutions Inc.,  a global virtual contact center and business process outsourcing company, today announced it participated in the White House ceremony held on April 20, 2013 honoring American businesses that have worked with Joining Forces.  Launched in 2011, Joining Forces is a national initiative to encourage organizations to provide solutions and support to service members and their families.

Since becoming part of the Joining Forces initiative, Arise has provided servicing programs for hundreds of military-owned small businesses.  To date, Joining Forces has positively impacted more than 290,000 military spouse and veterans and at the ceremony, President Obama, Vice President Biden, First Lady Michelle Obama, and Dr. Jill Biden issued a new challenge to provide work solutions for an additional 435,000 veterans and military spouses by 2018.   Arise is continuing its commitment to support Joining Forces by offering small businesses run by military veterans and their spouses thousands of portable, flexible work programs in 2013.

“Arise and its network of small business owners are fully committed to helping veterans find sustaining work opportunities and to helping military families earn additional income while their loved ones are deployed,” said Ken Jackowitz, Senior Vice President of Independent Business Operations at Arise. “Many of the skills that make servicemen and women effective within the military are also what make them valuable entrepreneurs. We are pleased to be in a position to help veterans apply these skills to become successful small business owners.”

In addition to supporting the Joining Forces initiative, Arise also has partnered with Veteran Central on its mission to facilitate the transition to civilian life for members of the U.S. Armed Forces.
